If you’ve successfully completed our 2-Day Basic Cruising course, the 3-Day Intensive Course is perfect for you. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sooke, BC, this course allows you to dive deeper into sailing, with the option to spread sessions across three weekends for added convenience.

5-Day Liveaboard Cruise and Learn: Full Immersion Experience

For a truly immersive sailing experience, choose our 5-Day Liveaboard Cruise and Learn program. Combine both Part 1 and Part 2 of the curriculum while living aboard for five days. Expand your sailing skills and experience life on the water, honing your abilities in a supportive environment.

Become a Certified Day Skipper

Upon successfully completing the exam and mastering essential sailing skills, you’ll earn the prestigious Day Skipper certification. This certification equips you with the confidence to sail and cruise safely in local waters as both skipper and crew.

    Footwear: Non Scuffing footwear. Boat shoes, Teva-type sandals or tennis ...

    Footwear: Non Scuffing footwear. Boat shoes, Teva-type sandals or tennis shoes. (to see if it scuffs if you take it off and slide an edge of the sole on paper).

    Clothing: Foul weather/Rain gear, fleece jacket, windbreaker and a sweater layer is good. During summer, rain gear is usually not needed.

    Personal: Sunglasses with safety string and side protection, sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), and a cell phone or camera.

    Entertainment: Reading material, and games.

    Documentation: Current driver’s license, current passport (if US travel is planned), birth certificate copy (if US travel is planned), next of kin contact information, PCOC Card, other sailing qualifications (if you have any), sailing logbook (we can provide if needed), evidence of travel insurance coverage, and BC Tidal fishing license if you wish to fish or gather shellfish (if there’s time).
