Meet the Fleet

Starlight

Meet Starlight, a 32‑foot Aloha 32 built in Toronto in 1983. Designed for long‑distance bluewater passages—including the classic Vancouver‑to‑Hawaii run—she’s perfectly at home exploring the stunning near‑coastal waters around Victoria, BC.

With comfortable accommodations for three to four guests (and room for up to five), Starlight strikes an ideal balance between adventure and relaxation. Her navigation suite includes a Raymarine chartplotter and a Standard Horizon VHF with AIS transceiver, providing modern safety and situational awareness on every outing.

The galley and head are fully equipped for life on the water. You’ll find a functional kitchen with running cold water, a propane stove and oven, and an outdoor barbecue for meals at anchor. The bathroom features running cold water and an eco‑friendly composting toilet, offering comfort with a lighter environmental footprint.

Starlight brings together capability, comfort, and a spirit of adventure—an inviting platform for discovering the beauty of the Salish Sea.

Percy Snow

Percy Snow is the newest addition to our fleet. Built in 1985, she’s a Coast 34—a husky, canoe‑sterned, cutter‑rigged sailboat with plenty to offer the cruising sailor. Designed by Vancouver naval architect Bruce Roberts and custom‑built here in B.C., she reflects the rugged practicality of West Coast boatbuilding.

The combination of her heavy layup, high freeboard, and canoe stern gives her a remarkably comfortable motion and an easy helm when the weather turns foul. Speed was never the primary design goal; instead, the Coast 34 was built for sailors who value toughness, stability, and the ability to keep going regardless of distance or conditions. Think less Porsche, more adventure‑ready Sprinter van. Even so, in lighter breezes she handles upwind work with surprising agility, thanks to her taller rig, modified fin keel, and substantial skeg‑hung rudder. Among sailors, the Coast 34 is often described as a slightly smaller sibling to the Valiant 37—one of the most respected bluewater cruisers ever built.

Percy Snow offers generous storage and a practical, comfortable interior layout. She features a private forward double berth, an aft double, and a mid‑ship single. The large dinette, full galley, three‑burner oven, and fridge make extended cruising easy. She’s powered by a reliable Beta Marine 30 and equipped with a forced‑air heater, running water, dinghy davits, and a bimini for protection at anchor or underway.

In short, Percy Snow is a true West Coast boat—built for the full range of West Coast conditions. Whether you’re enjoying relaxed sailing through the Gulf Islands or heading for more remote waters like Tofino and beyond, she’s designed to take you there with confidence and comfort.
