Intermediate Cruising Instructor-3 days

3 full days and 2 nights on the water cruising around Sooke. With the ultimate goal of being able to instruct Intermediate Cruising safely and to sail Canada Standards. This course is designed for current Sail Canada Basic Cruising Instructors with the prerequisites prescribed by Sail Canada. The price is per person. Food will be decided on with cost split between the students.

Basic Cruising Standard Certificate.
PCOC and / or VHF ROC-M (DSC) for additional fee.

What to bring?
Footwear
Non Scuffing footwear. Boat shoes, Teva-type sandals or tennis shoes. (to see if it scuffs if you take it off and slide an edge of the sole on paper)
Clothing
Foul weather/Rain gear, fleece jacket, windbreaker and a sweater layer is good, during summer rain gear is usually not needed.
Personal
Sunglasses with safety string and side protection, sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher), and a cell phone or camera.’

Current driver’s license, current passport (if US travel is planned), birth certificate copy (if US travel is planned), next of kin contact information, PCOC Card, other sailing qualifications (if you have any), sailing logbook (we can provide if needed), evidence of travel insurance coverage, and BC Tidal fishing license if you wish to fish or gather shellfish.
