Description
We offer the Basic and Intermediate Navigation at he same time. You study at home on your own schedule, write the Basic exam first and when you pass, we then schedule the Intermediate exam. Our feeling is that the two course are based on the same info you just dig deeper into it and for Intermediate.

Basic Cruising Standard
3-day or 5- day Cruise and Learn. Basic Cruising Standard (Day Skipper) Can be three days in a row or three days one week apart for locals. If you want to go for a liveaboard cruise and learn the same things try the 5-day Cruise and Learn but spend more time ono the water.
Goal: To be able to cruise safely in local waters as both skipper and crew in moderate wind and sea conditions by day.

Intermediate Cruising Standard
5 – days and 4 nights Bareboat Skipper Course on the water cruising on the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Southern Gulf Islands. With the ultimate goal of being able to cruise safely in local waters as both skipper and crew in moderate wind and sea conditions by day. This course is designed for those with experience on cruising sailboats in tidal waters.

ROC-M (DSC) VHF Marine Radio
ROC stands for Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate and is required by anyone using a Marine VHF or MF-HF radio (each person on the boat who will use the radio needs their own card).
