Clothing: Our courses will proceed rain or shine unless wind conditions are too hazardous for safe sailing. Dressing in layers is essential, as there’s often a significant temperature difference between the beach and the boat in light breezes. We recommend synthetic fabrics like merino wool or polypropylene, as they are quick-drying and provide warmth even when wet. Avoid cotton and denim, as they tend to stay wet and cold once damp. For sunny days, consider bringing a light windbreaker, a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. For rainy days, waterproof gear such as a rain jacket, rain pants, and waterproof footwear is necessary. Footwear: Closed-toed shoes are a must for walking on the deck; please avoid sandals or flip-flops. Ensure your shoes have non-marking soles (preferably white, light grey, or cream). Rubber boots with soft, non-marking soles are suitable for rainy days. Waterproof shoes are ideal, as the cockpit can get wet. Please, no black-soled shoes unless they are explicitly labeled as non-marking or you can rub the sole firmly on a white piece of paper and no mark show up.
